Cast iron pot 3.7 L 24 cm Grey

The 3.7 liter and 24 cm diameter pot is made of cast iron, which does not release harmful substances and distributes heat well across its surface. Suitable for use in gas or electric ovens. Before first use, we recommend removing vegetable oil by washing in warm water with a neutral dishwashing detergent, wipe dry, grease with oil and heat. The package includes a cast iron lid.

The cast iron pot must be thoroughly washed before first use.

Instructions on how to do it:
1. Fill the pot with hot tap water and let it act for a while.
2. Add neutral cleaning agent: Add a small amount of neutral cleaning agent to the hot water. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents as they could damage the pot's surface.
3. Wash the pot with a soft brush: Gently wash the inside and outside of the pot with a soft brush to remove all dirt and rust preventive.
4. Rinse the pot thoroughly with clean water to remove all residues of the cleaning agent.
5. Dry the pot: Wipe the pot with a clean cloth until dry.
6. Apply a thin layer of oil: Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil on the pot's surface to protect it against rust.

Tips:
Do not use steel wool to wash the cast iron pot, as it could damage its surface.
Do not wash the cast iron pot in the dishwasher.
Immediately dry the cast iron pot after washing to prevent rust formation.
Store the cast iron pot in a dry place.

Treating the pot with oil creates a protective layer on its surface that prevents rust and corrosion.
This process is called "seasoning" and is important for extending the lifespan of the cast-iron pot.
The seasoning process should be repeated regularly to maintain the pot's protection.

Instructions for maintenance (seasoning):
Wash the pot with hot water and neutral cleaning agent and rinse it thoroughly.
Dry the pot with a clean cloth.
Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil on all internal and external surfaces of the pot.
Heat the pot in an oven preheated to 180 - 200 °C.
Let the pot bake for 1 - 2 hours.
Turn off the oven and let the pot cool in the oven.
