Cast iron pot 10L 34cm Grey

The pot with a capacity of 10 liters and a diameter of 34 cm is made of cast iron, which does not release any harmful substances and distributes heat well across its entire surface. It is suitable for gas and electric ovens. Before first use, we recommend removing vegetable oil by washing in warm water with a neutral dishwashing detergent, wipe dry, grease with oil, and heat. The packaging includes a cast-iron lid.

It is necessary to thoroughly wash the cast iron pot before the first use.

Instructions on how to do this:
1. Fill the pot with hot tap water and let it work for a while.
2. Add neutral cleaning detergent: Add a small amount of neutral cleaning detergent to the hot water. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, as they could damage the pot surface.
3. Clean the pot with a soft brush: Use a soft brush to gently clean the inside and outside of the pot, removing all dirt and rust-preventing agent.
4. Thoroughly rinse the pot with clean water to remove all cleaning detergent residues.
5. Dry the pot: Wipe the pot with a clean cloth until it's dry.
6. Apply a thin layer of oil: Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the surface of the pot to protect it from rust.

Tips:
Do not use steel wool for washing the cast iron pot as it could damage its surface.
Do not wash the cast iron pot in a dishwasher.
Dry the cast iron pot immediately after washing to prevent rust formation.
Store the cast iron pot in a dry place.

Additional information:
Treating the pot with oil creates a protective layer on its surface, which prevents rust and corrosion.
This process is called "seasoning" and is important for extending the life of the cast iron pot.
The seasoning process should be repeated regularly to maintain the pot's protection.

Treatment instructions (seasoning):
Wash the pot with hot water and neutral cleaning detergent and rinse thoroughly.
Dry the pot with a clean cloth.
Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to all internal and external surfaces of the pot.
Heat the pot in an oven preheated to 180 - 200 °C.
Allow the pot to bake for 1 - 2 hours.
Turn off the oven and let the pot cool down in the oven.
