Smart car charger 10A 12/24V
The intelligent charger with a microprocessor is used for fast charging of car and motorcycle batteries. It is suitable for charging 12 V and 24 V lead batteries WET, MF, CA, EFB, GEL, AGM. It has protection against overheating, short circuit, and incorrect connection. A large display provides information on the current charging mode and the current battery voltage. The robust construction guarantees a longer lifespan of the device.
The microprocessor-controlled charger has 4 charging modes:
1. Constant voltage – use of direct voltage for charging the battery with control to ensure the charging current is not too high, reducing during the process.
2. Constant current – indicates that the battery voltage is lower than the set charger voltage, but the charger will maintain a constant battery charging current.
3. DC charging – when the battery voltage approaches the nominal voltage and the charging current is already low to the set current, it switches to the modulation of floating charging. This means the battery is charged, but continuously monitored for voltage drop and automatically charges with alternating current.
4. AC charging – the mode keeps the battery fully charged.
The charging occurs in 8 stages:
1. Stage DIAGNOSTICS – analysis of the battery, its charge status, and the correctness of the connection between the battery and the charger
2. Stage DESULPHATION – identifying the sulphated battery, charging with low voltage and high-frequency pulsing current allows the removal of sulphate from the battery plates, thereby restoring its original capacity.
3. Stage ANALYSIS – checking whether the battery is damaged and if it can accept the charging current – prevents charging a damaged battery.
4. Stage SOFT START – if the battery is not damaged, it starts charging with relatively low current and gradually increases its value.
5. Stage MAIN CHARGING – charging with the maximum constant intensity current with automatically regulated value depending on the charge status of the battery until it reaches 80% of the battery capacity.
6. Stage FINAL CHARGING – charging with decreasing current and constant voltage until it reaches 100% of the battery capacity.
7. Stage ANALYSIS – a test of the battery charge status, which lasts about 2 minutes. If after the end of charging the charge level of the battery does not drop, the charging process is completed.
8. Stage PULSING – monitoring the battery voltage and maintaining optimal charging at 95-100% capacity through charging current pulses.
